Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger is set to deliver a groundbreaking keynote at CES 2024, focusing on the expansive role of artificial intelligence (AI) in modern society. Set to take place on January 9 at 5 p.m. PT in the Palazzo Ballroom of the Venetian, Gelsinger’s speech is anticipated to be a highlight of the event.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has confirmed that Gelsinger, alongside CNBC Nasdaq correspondent Kristina Partsinevelos, will address the pivotal contributions of silicon and software in making AI more accessible. This talk is expected to shed light on the power of these technologies in enabling robust computing solutions and sustaining modern economies.

Gelsinger’s keynote theme, “AI is fueling a fundamental shift, driving interconnectivity between technology and humanity,” emphasizes the centrality of silicon in our everyday lives. From PCs to retail store checkouts and personal automobiles, semiconductors are integral to our contemporary lifestyles. The Intel CEO is set to explore how the fusion of cutting-edge chips and open software is empowering AI capabilities, aiming for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Having spent over four decades in technology leadership, Gelsinger’s insights are backed by extensive experience, including 30 years at Intel in various engineering and executive roles. He played a significant role in developing key industry technologies such as USB and Wi-Fi and was instrumental in the architecture of the 80486 processor. Gelsinger also held the position of Intel’s first chief technology officer, contributing significantly to the company’s standing as a leading microprocessor supplier.

Under Gelsinger’s leadership, Intel is not just focusing on AI during his keynote but also throughout CES 2024. The event will feature a “Great Minds” session on January 11, led by Lisa Spelman and Wei Li, focusing on AI’s limitless potential. Additionally, a half-day conference track titled “Unlocking the New AI Era” is scheduled for January 10, featuring multiple Intel executives.

CES 2024, running from January 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is set to be a hub of technological innovation and discussion. The keynote will also be available via livestream through the CES app. For more information and updates on CES 2024, including registration details and conference schedules, visit CES.tech.
